Staying around Jan Thiel, Mambo Beach, or the Spanish Water? Then you can use your first afternoon to swim, have a drink, and already enjoy the warm climate.
If you arrive early and still have enough energy, a relaxed trip across the Spanish Water is a fun first introduction. With the Tiki Boat on the Spanish Water sail by yourself in a small round boat past villas, bays, and marinas.
On the first evening, don't plan a long car ride or an intensive activity. A calm start will make the rest of the week much more enjoyable.

Start your first full vacation day in Willemstad. The historic city center consists of different neighborhoods, each with its own atmosphere.
Walk over the Queen Emma Bridge between Punda and Otrobanda, admire the colorful buildings on Handelskade, and wander through the streets of Otrobanda. Here you'll find a lot of street art, small shops, cafes, and historic buildings.
Pietermaai and Scharloo are also fun to explore. Allow at least half a day for Willemstad, so you can not only take the well-known photos but also have time to wander around and have lunch somewhere.
Would you like to hear more about the history and culture of the city? Then you can opt for a City tour of Willemstad or the more extensive Discover Willemstad Tour.
Willemstad is a UNESCO World Heritage site and forms a logical cultural counterpoint to the beaches and excursions that follow later in the week.

Today you will experience one of the absolute highlights of your trip: a day trip to Klein CuraçaoThis uninhabited island is a 1.5-hour boat ride from the main island and offers everything you'd expect from a tropical paradise: white sand, clear blue water, tranquility, and nature.
The travel time, type of boat, and amenities vary per excursion. Some day trips offer breakfast, a barbecue, an open bar, and a private beach house. Other trips focus on speed boating or a smaller group.
On Klein Curaçao, you can swim, snorkel, hike to the lighthouse, and see the shipwreck. Sea turtles are often spotted, but this is wildlife and therefore never guaranteed.
Compare the travel time, catering, shaded areas, and facilities on the island beforehand. This way, you can choose a trip that suits your group.
Notice: There is no regular ferry service to Klein Curaçao. Most visitors go on an organized day trip or private boat. Therefore, book this tour well in advance.
Would you like to add more nature to your weekly schedule? Then consider a visit to Christoffelpark and Shete Boka.
👉 Book the Klein Curacao Day Trip:
After a full day on the water, it's time to explore the west side of Curaçao.
Westpunt is quieter and greener than the area around Willemstad. You'll find small bays, clear water, rugged coastlines, and some of the island's most famous beaches.
One possible route is:
At Playa Piskadó, you regularly have the chance to see sea turtles. Keep a sufficient distance, do not touch the animals, and let them determine where they swim.
Don't turn this day into a competition to check off as many beaches as possible. Instead, choose two or three spots and take your time to swim, snorkel, and have lunch.
Don't you have a rental car, or would you prefer to view the west coast from the sea? Then the Westpoint Catamaran Snorkel Tour a good alternative. This tour combines sailing along the coast with snorkeling stops.

Those who enjoy walking can go to Christoffelpark early in the morning. By starting early, you avoid the hottest part of the day.
You don't have to climb Mount Christoph. There are also car routes and shorter walks possible in the park.
In Shete Boka, you can see how the waves crash against the north coast of Curaçao. The coast here is much rougher than on the sheltered south side of the island.
You can combine Christoffelpark and Shete Boka in one day, but it will be a pretty full schedule. If you want to take it easier, choose one nature park and then visit a beach on the west coast.
Don't feel like driving yourself and figuring out routes? During the Offroad Jeep Safari along the west coast You visit nature reserves and places that are less easily accessible with a normal rental car. The tour focuses on the rugged west coast and hidden beaches.

After Willemstad, Klein Curaçao, and Westpunt, you've seen the most important sides of the island. Use day six for an activity that suits your travel group.
Curaçao has many places where you can snorkel from the coast, but a boat trip allows you to reach locations that are more difficult to access from land.
During the Powerboat Snorkel Tour You will sail to snorkeling locations such as Playa Piskado, the Blue Room, and near Kokomo beach. Snorkel gear, lunch, and drinks are included in this tour.

If you want more speed, you can choose:
Don't plan multiple intensive activities on the same day. One good excursion followed by time at the pool or beach usually makes for a more enjoyable vacation day.
Have you already done enough in the past few days? Then use today as a real beach day. Choose a beach close to your accommodation and let go of the planning.
A week in Curaçao doesn't have to be fully packed every day.

End your week in Curaçao on an active note with a zipline adventure at Hòfi Mango. We recommend scheduling the zipline for the morning. That way, you'll have plenty of time afterward for a relaxed lunch, a visit to the beach, or a quiet afternoon at your accommodation.
During the ziplining, you'll travel across multiple lines through the green landscape of Hòfi Mango. The activity is especially suitable for travelers who like to end their vacation with something active and special.
Allow ample time for safety instructions and wear closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing. Optionally combine the zipline with a walk through the park or lunch in the area.
Afterward, you can keep the afternoon relaxed. For example, spend a few more hours at a beach on the west side, visit Willemstad for a final stroll, or stay by the pool. This way, your vacation won't end in a rush, and you'll still have time to pack your suitcases or return your rental car.
Do you want to include this activity in your schedule? Then check out the Zipline Curaçao at Hòfi Mango.

A rental car is not necessary every day, but offers a lot of freedom, especially for Westpunt and the nature parks.
For Willemstad, you can use a taxi depending on your accommodation. Excursions to Klein Curaçao depart from a fixed harbor, and some tours offer transportation from specific hotels.
If you don't want to rent a car, you can largely carry out this weekly plan with:
Use a rental car primarily for days when you want to combine multiple beaches and locations on the west side.
Are you unsure whether to plan this itinerary with a rental car or with excursions? Then check out our comparison of rental cars or excursions in Curaçao.
For most visitors, two or three organized excursions in a week are enough.
